Stop Women Trafficking

"Think not of a woman as a thing with which to pass the time merely but as a helper, as a partner in the hardships of life, respect her in her weaknesses and think only of the mother who brought you into the world and took care of you in your childhood," Emilio Jacinto, one Filipino nationalist once said.

In the Encyclical Letter of Pope John Paul II, he stated that, "If human rights are violated in time of peace, this is particularly painful and from the point of view of progress it represents an incomprehensible manifestation of activity directed against man which can in no way be reconciled with any program that describes itself as humanistic."

FORUM ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ( Presented by Fr. Glen Jaron, MSP )

She came to Korea in December 2000. She was already beaten a number of times during the first few months of their marriage, before she became pregnant. According to Jessica, the beating generally happened when the husband was drunk and got into an argument with somebody on the phone. It seemed like he turned to the wife to release his anger on the person that he got into an argument with. She was beaten a number of times until she finally left him, after one year and half of living together. She brought with her the baby girl who was also in shock when they arrived at the center. The baby was afraid to approach any male visitor in the center. She would cry immediately when the mother was not within her reach, even if the mother was within her sight.

Filipino Youth... Still on the Verge!

For a number of times, we always hear that we are the hope of the country. It has been a saying that goes over and over again. However, some of the people, which is only common, pays more attention to the weaknesses of us youth rather than to encourage us. Not to justify them, maybe they want to uplift and criticize us, only that they don't know how.

How will i prove them now that FILIPINO YOUTHS ARE STILL ON THE VERGE? Well, the evidences are crystal clear. Just imagine how many young Filipinos now are known and reknown all over the world? Artists and singers and even leaders. But unfortunately, they are not now in the country wherein they should serve best. Now what is the logic?

Nation remembers Ninoy, reaffirms democracy

A REAFFIRMATION of the democratic principles that former senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. died for highlighted the 20th year of his martyrdom as present and past leaders, officials and thousands of Filipinos converged in Makati City to honor him.

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo joined two past presidents on Thursday in a short march on the financial district to mark the political murder of Aquino, which ushered in the end of the Ferdinand Marcos dictatorship.

The President herself was coming off an aborted coup attempt that allegedly sought to install a military junta. The uprising, however, was short-lived as it failed to muster the support of civilians who were instrumental in two bloodless revolts that toppled Marcos in 1986 and former president Joseph Estrada in 2001.
